Rev 9:1-12  And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.  (2)  And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.  (3)  And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.  (4)  And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.  (5)  And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.  (6)  And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.  (7)  And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.  (8)  And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.  (9)  And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.  (10)  And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.  (11)  And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.  (12)  One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter

The Fifth Trumpet signals the release of one of the demonic princes of Satan back onto earth. Possibly after having been imprisoned with his minions in the bottomless pit since the days of Enoch before the flood.  (From the Ethiopian Book of Enoch 10.4 - 6 “ And further the Lord said to Raphael:  "Bind Azazel by his hands and his feet and throw him into the darkness.  And split open the desert, which is in Dudael, and throw him there. 10.5 And throw on him jagged and sharp stones and cover him with darkness.  And let him stay there forever.  And cover his face so that he may not see the light. 10.6 And so that, on the Great Day of Judgment, he may be hurled into the fire.”) If this is the case, it means the Fifth Trumpet signals the beginning of the time of judgment.  That this judgment is redemptive in its purpose is shown by the exclusion of the God’s elect from the plagues. Neither are they allowed to hurt anything except the enemies of Jesus Christ.

The saints and Israel must be warned to leave eastern Europe and the middle east with haste when these plagues are seen because the next two woes will see the rise of the Kingdom of the Great Red Dragon around the Mediterranean Sea. It will begin five months after the plagues of the Fifth Trumpet are seen.

The description of these plagues is what they would look like if they could be seen. But because they are spiritual, men will believe they are under attack by some virus, or possibly the results of some drug or sexual habits.

The Power to Love

1 Pet. 4:8-9  And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall

cover the multitude of sins.  (9)  Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Rom. 13:8  Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath

 fulfilled the law.

John 15:12  This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.  (23)  I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Isa. 45:22-23

1 Cor. 12:31  But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

1 Cor. 13:8  Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
